New gardening gloves and swimming lessons

Noah really enjoys being outdoors and especially likes to help Nana and Memaw in their yards. My mom (Nana) has a couple of pair of kid sized gardening gloves and Noah and his cousins love to play w/ them. Here is Noah showing off his new gardening gloves I bought him at Target (for 99 cents!!!!!) My hubby was proud!! As you can see, we had a little fun w/ this photo session.

Hear no evil,

See no evil,

And speak no evil!!!

This got me to thinking. And if you know me very well, you know I may be thinking kind of deep and off the wall as well. What if all of this were true? I mean if we never saw or heard any evil (mean, deragotory sp?, or hurtful things) would we then not speak evil things (curse words, gossip, mean/angry words) And then God told me-Child, you can not "do" anything w/ out me and my power. You can try as hard as you want to be the "best" person you can be but w/out my help you will not succeed!! And furthermore you are still living on earth sweetie where there is sin. So yes you will see and hear negative things and will sometimes even speak them (OK maybe some days you will speak ALOT of negative things) but that is what my forgiveness is all about!! Thank You God for your love and mercy!! How awesome is that for God to speak to me through these pics-and Noah and I thought we were just being silly and having a good 'ole time!!

I told you that it may be deep!! I warned you

Anywhoo, Noah finished a week of swimming lessons a couple of weeks ago. Here he is w/ his sweet teacher, Miss Payton. She is just the cutest, most respectful, and well rounded young lady I have met in a LONG time. She will be a senior this year and I look for her to accomplish great things in her life. She gave me some much needed encouragement that there still are some well mannered teenagers out there. I mean she yes ma'am and no ma'am me to death!!! So sweet!!

Anyway Noah did great and he is definitely not scared of the water and now can swim short (very short) distances underwater. He is not so much on swimming w/ out his floaties now b/c he equates the absence of them w/ sinking. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED !!!

The last couple of weekends have really been uplifting. Last weekend Brad and I traveled to Shreveport sans Noah for a marriage conference by Dr. Gary Chapman. So good!! And no we are not having trouble-no more than the average Joe anyway. We certainly have our moments, days, and weeks but overall we have a great marriage. We just wanted to improve and actually attending this conference was my sweet hubby's idea. He saw a promotional poster in Sunday School and asked if I'd like to attend. Of course!! I highly recommend going to one of Dr. Chapman's conference. He is quite entertaining and is very experienced in the subject of marriage/counseling.

On Friday I traveled to Monroe to stay w/ one of my sistas and attend the Beth Moore Simulcast. So so so gooooooooood!! Oh if you didn't attend well you missed out. The music was absolutely fantastic and of course Beth Moore's message hit home. She is so hilarious and just so real that you can't help but like her. BTW, be praying for Rhonda and Mark. They are in the middle of making a major decision and need God's guidance. (And I am personally VERY excited about the possibilities)

Well that is enough for now. Tasha & I took the boys to see the Wiggles on Wednesday evening in Shreveport and I will post pics soon. Stay tuned you don't want to miss viewing some of Noah's new dance moves!! HA!!
