St. Jude 5K

Brad & I headed to Memphis Friday morning along with a group of friends participating in the St. Jude Marathon Weekend. There was a 5K, 1/2 marathon, and marathon and our group, "Bella's Bunch", had participants in all 3 races. I ran my very first 5K in about 36 minutes....slow and steady wins the race right =) I'm even considering doing the 1/2 next year...we'll see, that sure is a LONG way. But I am kind of proud of myself for doing this considering Ethan is only 5 months old. Speaking of........ boy oh boy do I MISS my boys....can't wait to love on them!!!!!!

Most of our group...Three of the guys who ran in the marathon are not in the picture. Our group raised over $14,000 for St. Jude!!!!!! So proud!!!

Me and Bella....She completed her last chemo in September!!!!! Brad & I were able to tour St. Jude w/ the Tarvers after Bella briefly met with her PT. My heart ached with the realization of what Bella endured, what so many kiddos & their parents go through due to cancer. I am truely honored to participate in this weekend and plan to do it again

I was SO happy to see that finish line....I jogged the entire race which was a challenge for me b/c I haven't been able to run as much as I should have in preparation for the 5K. \

Brad & I enjoyed our weekend away from the hustle and bustle of our daily life. Can't believe I was able to tear him away from the hunting camp yet again for a whole weekend =) He says that he is running the 1/2 next year too!
